Emily and Isaac - Lareau Farm Inn
Emily and Isaac's wedding at Lareau Farm Inn in Waitsfield, Vermont, was bright, colorful, and full of movement. What struck me most was how much joy there was in the people around them, and how little anyone seemed interested in making the day more complicated than it needed to be.
They were still finishing their vows just hours before the ceremony, and at one point we found ourselves trying to track down a printer. Their family decorated the arbor themselves, adding to the feeling that everyone was simply pitching in to make the day happen. Earlier that morning, there were cold dips in the river, and by afternoon, Emily's bridesmaids and friends were moving through the grounds in vivid colors, almost like a procession of Greek goddesses.
Emily and Isaac moved through it all with an ease that was beautiful to witness—never rushing past the moments that mattered and letting the day unfold as it wanted to.
